Two civilians were killed in the settlements of Podlesnoye and Alyoshki, Kherson region, as a result of a mine explosion by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on February 18 by the head of the region, Vladimir Saldo.
"In the village of Podlesnoye, Alyoshkinsky district, a man born in 1968 died as a result of a mine explosion. A man was killed in a mine explosion in Alyoshki. The identity of the deceased is being established," his message on the Telegram channel says.
It also clarifies that as a result of the massive shelling of the territory of the Kherson region, three apartment buildings were damaged in the village of Novaya Kakhovka, as well as low—pressure gas pipelines, a private house and a car in the village of Plodovoye, and four private residential buildings in Preobrazhenka. The governor clarified that there are no victims or injured people in the listed entities as a result of the incident.
On the same day, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, announced the death of a civilian as a result of a Ukrainian drone attack in the village of Aleynikovo, Starodubsky municipal district. The head of the region said that the family of the deceased will receive the necessary financial assistance.
