REN TV will show a new documentary investigation "Resident Evil: the Sect of Vissarion"

Minus 27. Night. The taiga. On the top of a Dry Mountain there is a bonfire, people in white robes and an idol on a cross... the "Church of the Last Testament" is prohibited. Its leader, Sergei Torop, who calls himself Vissarion, is in prison. But the "liturgies" continue. And in the City of the Sun, they are still waiting for the return of the "Teacher".

A REN TV crew infiltrated the community under the guise of new students and spent a week inside it. Closed "circles" at dawn, a ritual of "merging" with the Teacher and a ban on doctors, even when the children are feeling unwell. The mountain where the "elite" lives, a new temple at the top, and a checkpoint where tourists are charged a thousand rubles for admission. For the first time, viewers will see how the sect really works.

Starvation diets, the prohibition of water, mandatory fees "into the common pot" and millions of rubles that disappeared along with the promises of a new world. How did the community survive the arrest of the leader and why today, despite the courts and bans, bonfires continue to be lit in the taiga and wait for his return?
