The Slovak authorities have declared a crisis situation in the country amid a shortage of oil. This was reported on February 18 by the Slovak newspaper Pravda.

"The Government of the Slovak Republic has declared a state of emergency in the field of oil at the suggestion of the Office of State Material Reserves. This is due to the temporary suspension of Russian oil supplies through the Druzhba pipeline," the publication says.
