Zakharova criticized the West's expectations of a pause for the rearmament of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The West mistakenly believes that Russia is ready to suspend a special military operation and monitor Ukraine's rearmament. This was announced on February 18 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"Do they think that Russia will put everything on pause and watch how the Kiev regime will arm itself? Moreover, it also disregards losses, including from its own side, from the Kiev regime. No, well, they, of course, need to look for fools somewhere to implement such solutions," Zakharova said.
