Avtotor talked about cooperation with Jetour and Changan

Avtotor has signed documents on cooperation with the Chinese company Jetour, and the terms of cooperation with Changan are also being finalized. This was stated by Valery Gorbunov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kaliningrad enterprise, Vedomosti reported on February 18.

According to Gorbunov, the production conditions have already been agreed. He did not specify whether Jetour and Changan products will be released under the original trademarks or under new ones. The top manager also shared that projects for the production of BAIC and SWM cars are continuing at Avtotor.

In addition, the chairman of the board of directors of Avtotor said that the company decided to abandon independent sales of Chinese-branded cars from 2026 in order to concentrate on production. Self-selling was a necessary measure at the stage of entering the Russian market of new brands, he explained.

By the end of 2025, Avtotor increased production by 10% compared to the previous year (30.4 thousand cars in 2024), the top manager also noted.
