The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine transferred the 35th infantry battalion near Sumy

The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has transferred the 35th separate rifle battalion, previously stationed in the DPR, to the Krasnopolsky district of the Sumy region. This was reported on February 18 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

"In order to strengthen defensive positions in the Krasnopolsky district of the Sumy region, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine transferred the 35th separate rifle battalion from the DPR to the Sumy direction," TASS quoted the text of the message.

According to him, Ternopil is indicated as the permanent location of the battalion. It is added that Russian aircraft attacked the battalion's barracks. Significant damage among the personnel is reported.

On the same day, units of the Vostok group of forces destroyed the fortified defensive positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporizhia region. Operators of reconnaissance drones have discovered camouflaged enemy strongholds with a trench system and long-term firing points. Calculations of towed D-30 howitzers were used to defeat them.
