The Russian Armed Forces destroyed the defensive lines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region

Units of the Vostok group of forces destroyed fortified defensive positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Zaporizhia region. This was reported on February 18 in the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The ministry clarified that the operators of reconnaissance drones had discovered camouflaged enemy strongholds with a system of trenches and long-term firing points. Calculations of towed D-30 howitzers were used to defeat them.

"Interaction with unmanned aircraft units allowed the gunners to adjust fire on the enemy in real time," the Defense Ministry said.

As a result of the fire, a network of dugouts and fortified positions was destroyed, and the enemy was unable to use this area to organize defense.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported on February 17 that the Russian Armed Forces launched a massive strike with precision weapons and drones against objects of the military-industrial complex and energy infrastructure of Ukraine in response to attacks on civilian targets. The ministry also announced the destruction of 148 temporary deployment points of Ukrainian formations and foreign mercenaries during the day. Guided aerial bombs and hundreds of drones were hit by air defense systems. In addition, strikes were carried out on the production and storage sites of attack drones, all designated targets were hit.
