The updated Lada Vesta CNG bi-fuel sedan began arriving at dealerships, the Autostat analytical agency reported on February 17.

According to Alexander Shaprinsky, commercial director of the Pragmatika dealership network, the main audience of the model will be corporate customers (in particular, taxi companies and delivery services). Therefore, sales volumes will be affected by support programs. The share of new items in Lada sales will be at least 5%, and corporate sales will account for about 90% of the CNG sedan sales, the specialist believes.

Lada Vesta CNG can run on both gasoline and methane, and travel over 1,000 km without stopping to refuel. The price of the new product starts from 1.88 million rubles (1.52 million rubles with state subsidy). A 90-liter steel and fiberglass gas cylinder is located in the trunk of the sedan, it is designed to pump 22 cubic meters of compressed methane. The standard full-size 55-liter gas tank has been preserved, and the useful volume of the trunk has been reduced to 250 liters.

As noted at AvtoVAZ, the operation of a methane sedan reduces fuel costs by two to three times, and the amount of transport tax is reduced by 50%.

As previously reported on this day, the head of AvtoVAZ Maxim Sokolov said that the company has adjusted the Lada car sales plan for February of this year. Sales volume is expected to decrease by 15%. At the same time, as the head of AvtoVAZ noted, there is hope that Lada sales in the last winter month will exceed 20 thousand units.
