A popular science competition for young people has been launched in the capital to mark the 65th anniversary of the first human spaceflight. Participants are invited to prepare a short informative lecture for their peers about promising professions in the space industry, from engineering and programming to cosmobiology and industrial design, said Evgeny Andrienko, director of the City's Center for Professional and Career Development.
"The winners will speak at the Vzlet career forum in Moscow: this year, one of the lecture blocks will be dedicated to the anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight and the development of the space industry. The competition is designed to show the guys career opportunities in this field," said Andrienko.
Applications for participation are accepted until April 12 on the website of the Development Center. It is necessary to fill out the questionnaire, specifying the topic of the lecture and attaching the presentation. An expert jury will evaluate the relevance, originality, content and visual design.
The authors of the most interesting works will be invited to participate in an intramural semi-final dedicated to Youth Day. The winners of the contest will speak at the Vzlet forum.
