In 2025, the masters of the Moscow urban economy complex completed major repairs of 10 residential buildings with stained glass windows, putting facades, roofs, basements and entrances in order, as well as developing individual work plans for each building. This was announced on February 17 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, on the website mos.ru .
"The renovation made it possible to preserve the historical appearance of the houses and improve the living conditions of the residents," the publication says.
It is reported that among the renovated facilities is the apartment building of L.N. Neidgart on Sadovaya—Karetnaya Street, building 8, building 1, built in a pseudo-Gothic style designed by architect Ivan German. The craftsmen cleaned and washed the facades, treated the locking points with antifungal compounds, updated the decorative elements and stucco, painted the house in historical colors, and also put the entrance group, basements and pitched roof in order with the replacement of the crate and roofing.
In the 19th-century houses on Bolshoy Fakelny Lane, house 8, and in Nesvizh Lane, house 12, specialists also restored facades, replaced engineering networks and renovated the interior.
"We used modern materials and technologies for each building, taking into account architectural features," the Moscow Capital Repair Foundation noted.
It is noted that the work included the treatment of wooden structures with fire protection compounds, the installation of temperature and humidity conditions in attics, the repair of drainage, heating and hot water supply systems, as well as the renovation of mailboxes and floor tiles in the entrances.
Sobyanin announced on February 7 that two pavilions, the Bathroom House and the Forge, had been restored in the Kuzminki estate. He noted that this is another major stage in the revival of the former beauty of the unique complex.
