Pregnant women and mothers with young children should have the right to work remotely or flexibly. This was stated on February 17 by Sergey Rybalchenko, Chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on demography, protection of family, children and traditional family values.

"It would be right for pregnant women and women who raise children at an early age, if desired and if the production process allows, to be able to work remotely or on a flexible schedule," he said in an interview with TASS.

At the same time, in his opinion, the workplace at home should be equipped with everything necessary.

Rybalchenko added that this measure could contribute to an increase in the birth rate.
