A young man was killed on a highway in the Kurgan region as a result of a collision between two Volkswagen cars. This is reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

The accident occurred on February 16 in the Shadrinsky district, on the 260th km of the Shadrinsk–Kurgan highway. According to the traffic police, the 24-year-old driver of a Volkswagen Passat drove into oncoming traffic and crashed into a Volkswagen Tiguan.

As a result of the collision, the passenger of the Passat, a young man born in 2001, received various injuries, from which he died on the spot, writes the news agency " <url>".

The traffic police noted that the accident occurred in conditions of snowfall. The circumstances are being established.

On the same day, a large number of accidents were recorded on the M-4 Don highway in the Tula region, which was again at the mercy of snowfall and wind. As a result of one of the accidents, a passenger bus driver was killed.
