The bus driver was killed in an accident on the M-4 "Don" in the Tula region.

In the Kireevsky district of the Tula region, about a three-kilometer stretch of the M-4 Don highway, several accidents occurred, as a result of which one person was killed and six injured. This is reported by the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and the prosecutor's office.

One of the accidents occurred on Monday afternoon, February 16, on the 215th km of the federal highway M-4 "Don". According to the prosecutor's office, the driver of a passenger bus died on the spot from his injuries.

The exact number of participants in the accident, as well as the circumstances of the death of the bus driver, have not yet been reported in the departments. However, it is known that 17 passengers were in the public transport cabin at the time of the accident, they were not injured, TSN24 clarifies.

The accident occurred when bad weather hit a number of regions of the Central Federal District, including the Tula region. Snowfall and strong gusts of wind led to a sharp deterioration in the traffic situation. In the Tula region, a large number of accidents were recorded in sections from the 240th to the 252nd km, as well as from the 211st to the 215th km, where, according to the <url> news agency, in addition to the fatal accident, six more collisions were recorded, as a result of which six people were injured.

Rescuers and police officers recommend that motorists refrain from traveling whenever possible, strictly observe the speed limit and traffic rules, increase their distance from other cars and avoid sudden maneuvers.
