On Tuesday, February 17, Russian figure skater Adelia Petrosyan presented the short program in the women's individual short program tournament at the 2026 Olympics in Italy. According to the results of the competition, she took fifth place, scoring 72.89 points. The athlete performed in a neutral status, without national symbols.

The women's short program winner was figure skater Ami Nakai from Japan, her compatriot Kaori Sakamoto took second place, and Alice Liu, representing the United States, took third place.

Petrosyan's next appearance at the Olympics is scheduled for February 19. The figure skater will present her free skate program.

Earlier in the men's tournament, Russian Peter Gumennik took sixth place, and Kazakh figure skater Mikhail Shaidorov won gold.

Adelia Petrosyan became the champion of Russia three times — in 2024, 2025 and 2026. She also won the Russian Grand Prix finals three times - in 2023, 2024 and 2025, won the Russian Jumping Championship in 2025 and won the Olympic qualification tournament of the same year.
