- The Canadian ex-hockey player called it a disgrace that Russian hockey players were not allowed to attend the OI-2026.
The absence of the Russian national ice hockey team at the 2026 Olympic Games in Milan is a disgrace. This was announced on February 16 by Canadian ex-hockey player Phil Esposito.
"It's a shame that the Russian Federation didn't get the right to play at the Olympic Hockey Tournament in Italy," he told TASS.
Esposito added that without the Russian hockey team, the Olympics in Milan are incomplete.
