The state prosecutor asked Viktor Petrichenko, who is accused of murdering seven people in 1992, to be sentenced to 14 years and 11 months in a high-security penal colony. This was reported on February 16 in the press service of the Prosecutor's office of the Sverdlovsk region.

"During the court arguments, the state prosecutor asked the court to sentence Petrichenko to 14 years and 11 months in prison, to be served in a high-security penal colony. The state prosecutor also asked the court to recover compensation for moral damage in the amount of 10 million rubles from Petrichenko in favor of the injured woman, born in 1955," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

According to the prosecution, on December 31, 1992, Petrichenko met the future victims at the Sverdlovsk-Passazhirsky railway station, drank alcohol with them and went to their apartment in Kamensk-Uralsky at their invitation. On the spot, he added "clofelin" to alcohol, got five adults drunk, and when they fell asleep, he hit them on the head with a hammer. Then he lured two children into the kitchen, also hit them with a hammer and stole their possessions.
