Andreeva dropped to seventh place in the WTA championship race

Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva dropped two places in the updated version of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) championship race, published on February 16. She is now ranked seventh.

Another Russian, Anna Kalinskaya, made a leap up 12 places, taking 18th place. She reached the quarterfinals in Qatar, where she lost to Czech Karolina Mukhova, who is now in fourth position.

The winner of the Australian Open, Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan, retains the leadership in the championship race. The second is the finalist of the first Grand Slam tournament of the season, Belarusian Arina Sobolenko.

Last week, Andreeva lost to Victoria Mboko in the third round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Doha. The Canadian herself, who reached the final, rose to the third position in the race.

At the January 25 meeting with Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, Andreeva also failed to reach the quarterfinals of the Australian Open. The match ended with a score of 6:2, 6:4 in favor of the participant from Ukraine.
