The Russian Foreign Ministry expressed its desire to establish a substantive dialogue with the Afrosoyuz center.

Russia supports a substantive dialogue with the African Union (AU) counter-terrorism center. This was stated on February 15 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin at a meeting of the chairmen of the committees of the parliaments of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

"We are contributing to the establishment of relations between the CSTO and the African Union. The corresponding intention was recorded in the joint statement of the last ministerial conference of the Russia—Africa Partnership Forum. We advocate the establishment of a substantive dialogue with the counter—terrorism center of the African Union," Pankin said in a statement to RIA Novosti.
