The weather forecaster predicted temperatures below the climatic norm this week.
This week, the temperature is expected to be below the climatic norm, on Wednesday it will reach up to -22. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, chief specialist of the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia about this on January 16.
According to Pozdnyakova, the air temperature in Moscow will be below the climatic norm all week. Today, on February 16, it will remain at -10 to -12 degrees. The day is expected to be quite snowy, with a northerly wind reaching 12-15 m/s.
Temperatures will drop on Tuesday and Wednesday, and an anticyclone will determine the weather. As the forecaster noted, on Wednesday the minimum temperature in the capital will be in the range from -15 to -22.
On Thursday, the weather will be determined by the southern cyclone, the weather is expected to be cloudy and snowy. At the same time, the air temperature will rise, the prevailing temperature at night will be in the range from -10 to -15, daytime — from -5 to -10.
In the following days, the weather with snow of varying intensity — from light to moderate — will continue, atmospheric pressure will increase only by Sunday. The temperature at night will range from -10 to -15, during the day from -5 to -10, concluded Pozdnyakova.
Marina Makarova, a leading meteorologist at the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, reported on February 7 that the frosty weather in Moscow will continue in the near future, while the exact timing of warming is still impossible to determine. So far, the weather in the capital promises to remain cold.
