Margarita Zhigunova, an actress of the Pushkin Moscow Drama Theater, died at the age of 89. This was reported by the portal " <url>".

Zhigunova was born on February 20, 1937 in the village of Knyazevo, Tver region. She passed away on February 11, 2026 in Moscow.

She graduated from the Moscow Art Theater Studio School in 1959. Since 1960, she served at the Pushkin Moscow Drama Theater, and also took part in the filming of feature films. Zhigunova was the wife of Soviet ballet dancer Marisa Liepa and the mother of ballet dancers Ilse and Andris Liepa.
