Russians were warned about pension increases in August 2026

In August 2026, an undeclared adjustment of old-age insurance pensions for those pensioners who officially worked in 2025 will take place in Russia. Igor Balynin, an associate professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, told about this on February 16.

According to him, the pension amount will increase only for those who have worked officially, since it is in this case that individual pension coefficients are formed.

"It is important to emphasize that individual pension coefficients have not been formed for informally employed pensioners, which means that there will be no increase in insurance pensions in August 2026," the specialist added in an interview with RT.
