France and Poland re-entered the ranks of the largest wine suppliers to Russia among the European Union (EU) countries last year, increasing exports to multi-year highs. This follows from the data from Eurostat, which was analyzed by RIA Novosti on February 16.

As in the previous year, Italy and Latvia remained the leaders in the cost of supplies among the EU states. Italian companies sold products worth €207.4 million, which is 16% less than in the previous year. Latvia exported wines worth €106.7 million, reducing the figure by 12%.

Poland took the third position for the first time, overtaking Spain. Sales of Polish wine to Russia reached a record in the history of bilateral trade of €70.8 million, which is 21% more than a year ago. France took the fourth place, increasing supplies 5.1 times to €34.4 million. This result was the highest since 2017 and allowed the country to return to the top five exporters for the first time since 2021.

Portugal rounded out the top five with €34 million, reducing volumes by 18%. The list of the largest suppliers also includes Germany with a volume of €24.6 million, Spain — €20.1 million and Lithuania — €10.4 million. These countries reduced exports by 19%, 71% and 44%, respectively.

The top ten was joined by Austria, which increased sales 1.5 times to €5.8 million, and the Czech Republic, which reduced shipments by 14% to €2.1 million.

According to the customs statistics of the Republic of Korea dated February 15, creams, serums and face masks became the most popular cosmetics exported to Moscow from Seoul. It was clarified that the main share in the export of cosmetic products in 2025 was made up of the "other cosmetics" category, which includes creams, serums, face masks and other products of both the mass and premium segments. The value of this group of products amounted to about $335.9 million, which is more than 92% of the total value of cosmetics exports during the reporting period.
