Klebo won his ninth gold medal and set a Winter Olympics record.
Norwegian skier Johannes Klebo set a new Winter Olympic Games record by winning his ninth gold medal in the 4.5 km x 7.5 km relay. The race took place on February 15th.
It is clarified that previously this record belonged to Norwegian biathletes Marita Bjoergen, Ole Einar Bjørndalen and Björn Daly, they each have eight gold medals.
The national team also featured Emil Iversen, Martin Loewstrom Nuenget and Einar Hedegaart. The second place in the competition was taken by the French national team, and the third by Italy.
On the same day, Swedish biathlete Martin Ponsiluoma won gold in the 12.5 km pursuit at the Olympic Games in Italy. The athlete showed the result in 31 minutes 11.9 seconds and made one miss on four firing lines. For Ponsiluoma, this is the first Olympic gold of his career.
