Biathlete from Sweden Ponsiluoma won the pursuit race at the Olympics
Swedish biathlete Martin Ponsiluoma won gold in the 12.5 km pursuit race at the Olympic Games in Italy on February 15.
The athlete showed the result in 31 minutes 11.9 seconds and made one miss on four firing lines. For Ponsiluoma, this is the first Olympic gold in his career, Sport-Express clarifies.
With a gap of 20.6 seconds, Norwegian Sturla Holm Legrade took second place, making one miss, while Frenchman Emilien Jacquelin took bronze (+29.7 seconds, three misses).
French biathlete Quentin Fillon Maillet became the Olympic champion in the 10 km sprint race at the Olympic Games on February 13. The athlete covered the distance in 22 minutes 53.1 seconds, without making a single miss on two firing lines.
