Fans of American figure skater Ilya Malinin initiated a project in his support after the athlete's unsuccessful performance at the Winter Olympics in Italy. Fans announced the action on the social network X (ex. Twitter) on February 14th.

It is noted that the project is called A Voice in honor of the athlete's program. Participants are invited to leave positive wishes to Malinin for future performances. However, no negative messages will be sent.

The collection of appeals will last until March. After completion, all letters will be combined and handed over to the skater in March or next month, informs Sport-Express.

On February 13, the figure skater was defeated in the free skate at the Olympic Games in Italy, scoring 156.33 points. During the rental, the athlete made several falls. In total, Malinin managed to score 264.49 points, he took the eighth final place.

Malinin himself stated that the reason for the failure in the free program at the Olympics was his excessive confidence. He added that the result could also be influenced by a psychological condition.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
