On February 15, Russian figure skater Pyotr Gumennik expressed gratitude to the fans for their support after his performance at the Olympic Games in Italy.

"Thank you to everyone who believed, supported and was with me on this journey to Milan. I hope I will continue to be faster, taller and stronger with you!" he wrote on the Instagram social network (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist in Russia and banned).

In the publication, the athlete also shared photos from Milan.

Humennik performed a clean free skate at the Olympic Games in Italy on February 13 and scored 184.49 points. He performed at number 13. The athlete managed to perform flip, lutz, Rittberger and double Salchow — in a cascade with a triple toe loop and in combination with two double axels. In addition, the athlete was able to perform an axel in 3.5 turns.

The day before, two-time Olympic biathlon champion Dmitry Vasiliev noted that Humennik, despite his excitement, showed a decent result during his performance, taking sixth place, which cannot be considered a failure. He also pointed out that the first day of performances was difficult for Humennik, which could be due to nervousness and insufficient international practice.

On the same day, figure skating coach Alexei Mishin announced that Humennik's performance at the Olympic Games was one of the best of his career. Mishin stressed that the importance of this hire goes beyond personal achievement — Humennik's vivid performance showed that Russian figure skating is "lively, strong and worthy."
