FIS rejected Finland's protest against the results of the men's sprint at the OI-2026
The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) has rejected the appeal of the Finnish national team against the results of the men's classic sprint at the Olympic Games in Milan due to a violation of the deadlines. This was reported on February 15 in the press service of the organization.
The Finnish athletes drew attention to the actions of the national teams of Norway and the USA in the service area between the final races. According to their data, the rivals used rollers to apply a clyster, which is prohibited by FIS rules, and also used prohibited liquid compounds in the boxes of the American team.
"A protest against another athlete or his equipment can be filed no later than 15 minutes after the publication of unofficial results. As the race took place on Tuesday, February 10, FIS considers that the protest filed on Saturday by the Finnish team can no longer be accepted," reads a statement on the FIS website.
Norwegian skier and six-time Olympic champion Johannes Klebo won the men's classic sprint at the 2026 Olympics in Italy on February 10. American Ben Ogden took second place, Frenchman Jules Chappa finished third.
