The U.S. national team scored a strong-willed victory over the Danish team in the group stage match of the 2026 Olympic hockey tournament in Italy. The match took place on February 14 and ended with a score of 6:3.

Matt Baldy (4th minute), Brady Tkachuk (30th minute), Jack Eikel (31st minute), Noah Hanifin (38th minute), Jake Genzel (48th minute) and Jack Hughes (55th minute) scored goals for the USA national team. Nick Olesen (2), Nicholas Jensen (12) and Phillip Bruggisser (40) scored for the Danes.

In the third period, the goalkeeper of the Danish national team, Mads Segor, was injured and replaced by Frederik Dihov.
