The Finnish national team filed a protest after Klebo's victory in the Olympic sprint
On February 14, Finland filed a protest against the results of the men's individual sprint classic at the 2026 Olympics, where Norwegian skier and six-time Olympic champion Johannes Klebo became the winner. The Finnish Ski Association (NOC) and the Finnish Olympic Committee have sent a protest to the jury of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS).
"We demand that the results of the competition be corrected so that no one gets an advantage as a result of illegal actions," reads a statement on the NOC website.
It is noted that the Norwegian national team was allowed to carry lubricating oil into the service area, which contradicts the official instructions for all teams, since such an opportunity was not provided to other national teams. It is also reported that the US national team brought a prohibited liquid to the service area. The Finnish national team believes that the principles of fair fight were violated, clarifies "Газета.Ru ".
On February 10, Klebo became the winner in the men's classic sprint at the 2026 Olympics in Italy. American Ben Ogden took second place, Frenchman Jules Chappa finished third. Russian skier Savely Korostelev showed the result in 3 minutes 19.88 seconds. At the end of the race, he took 35th place.
