- Sobyanin spoke about the plans for the construction of the Moscow metro until 2032
It is planned to build 34 metro stations in the capital by the end of 2032. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in his channel in the MAX messenger.
"In June, the tunneling of the Biryulevskaya line started. We are extending the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya branch from the current Shchelkovskaya station to Golyanov, which will be the final one," said the mayor of Moscow.
Since 2011, the Moscow government has completed the construction and reconstruction of more than 260 kilometers of lines, 127 stations and 14 electric depots, including the Brateevo carriage Repair plant, the Moscow Metro and the Moscow Central Ring.
In September 2025, the construction of the first stage of the Troitskaya line with a length of 25.2 kilometers was completed. It consists of 11 stations, from ZILa in the Danilovsky district to Novomoskovskaya in Kommunarka. Among the open stations are Vavilovskaya, Akademicheskaya, Krymskaya and ZIL. The daily passenger traffic of the line is 90 thousand trips.
Two electric depots, Yuzhnoye and Stolbovo, were also commissioned in 2025.
In the autumn of 2025, the tunneling of the second stage of the Troitskaya Line began — the southern section with a length of 16.8 kilometers with six stations. It will run along the Kaluga highway from Kommunarka to Troitsk.
