On February 14, Russian figure skater Pyotr Gumennik, in a conversation with Izvestia, shared his emotions from performing in the free skate at the Olympic Games in Italy in 2026.

"I'm happy, I did everything I could. I've been preparing for this performance for a long time, <...> he did exactly what I said, so the emotions are extremely positive," he said.

Humennik also added that during the second performance he felt calmer because he knew "what was what." He also expressed surprise that there were many people in the stands who supported him.

"There was such a fuss, such support. She helped me a lot, <...> the fact that the audience welcomed me so warmly made me feel like I was at home," said the figure skater.

The athlete clarified that he would like to participate in the Olympics again in 2030.

On February 13, at the Olympic Games in Italy, Humennik performed a clean free skate and scored 184.49 points. He performed at number 13.
