About 30 locations in different districts of Moscow are united by the Maslenitsa festival, which will last until February 22. Hearty treats, musical performances, performances, and sports events were prepared for the visitors. A program with culinary, handicraft and decorative-applied master classes is organized for children, said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of the capital.

"More than 1.5 thousand classes will be held at the festival venues. The children will be taught how to make pancakes, decorate dishes and make clay toys," Sergunina said.

The poster and addresses of all locations are published in the Russpass travel service. For example, in the creative studio on Sokolovo-Meshcherskaya Street they talk about the basics of Khokhloma, Zhostovskaya and Gorodetsky murals. The participants of the master classes apply patterns to trays, honey tubs, sugar bowls and hangers for clothes. In the park on Khachaturian Street, classes are held for children on making toys out of bast and burning wood. On Orekhovy Boulevard, young Muscovites and tourists decorate the covers of recipe notebooks, decorate plates and milk jugs.

In the craft workshop on Admiral Rudnev Street, they offer to weave serving napkins and baskets, weave a belt and make toys out of clay. Participants of classes on Gorodetskaya Street paint festive paintings, learn folk dances and sculpt characters from plasticine for a performance dedicated to Maslenitsa. Cooking classes are held in several locations at once, including in the park near the Nekrasovka metro station, on Trade Union, Svyatoozerskaya and Teply Stan streets.

The festival has become part of the "Winter in Moscow" project, which aims to strengthen social and family ties, create an atmosphere of unity and mutual support. Thanks to programs that include cultural, educational and sports events, it unites Muscovites and guests of the capital of all ages. Special attention is paid to the support of participants and veterans of the special military operation and their families, as well as all those who provide assistance to the front.
