A new season of the Moscow Student Spring Festival has begun in the capital. University and college students are invited to take part in it and prepare creative projects. The competition program covers more than 10 areas, from dance and fashion to vocal and performing arts. Registration will last until March 15, said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.

"Every year, the festival provides an opportunity for young people to show their talents to peers and experts. The winners will receive prizes and the right to represent the capital at the national level as part of the Russian Student Spring," Sergunina said. Participants will also enjoy master classes, meetings with experts, a vocal festival and a dance championship.

The qualifying round will be held in more than 70 universities and colleges in the capital, and according to its results, the leaders will move on to the city stage. Contestants can present their own clothing collections, an art project, perform on stage with a theatrical production, or demonstrate their skills playing wind instruments, strings, and keyboards. The winners will be announced at a gala concert in May.

The event is organized by the Moscow Youth Project of the Moscow Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy, the Moscow City Organization of the Russian Youth Union and the Moscow Center for the Development of Professional Education of the Moscow Department of Education and Science.
