Rosneft has confirmed its leadership in the field of sustainable development

Rosneft has received high marks in the field of sustainable development from international and Russian rating agencies, the company said. The WBA (World Benchmarking Alliance), ISS (Institutional Shareholder Services) and RAEX noted Rosneft's leadership in the environmental, social and management spheres.

The WBA international agency named Rosneft the best Russian oil and gas company in four ratings dedicated to a fair energy transition, social initiatives and gender equality. The company was also included in the group of leaders of the environmental rating by the ISS investment and consulting agency.

In the new rating of the Russian non-credit agency RAEX, Rosneft became the only oil and gas company with an ESG rating of "AA" for the reporting year 2024. At the same time, the quality of corporate governance has been assessed at the highest possible level for the third year in a row, with an "AAA" rating. In addition, for the second year in a row, the Da-Strategy Corporate Development Agency awarded Rosneft, the only Russian oil and gas company, a top-level A+ rating "Leader of Corporate ESG Practice in the Russian Federation."

One of the key priorities in Rosneft's activities is environmental responsibility, the company stressed. By the end of 2024, the volume of "green" investments reached 74 billion rubles, and in the period from 2022 to 2024 — almost 200 billion rubles. The funds are allocated to programs to improve pipeline reliability, build infrastructure for APG utilization, reduce emissions, and other projects.

Since 2007, Rosneft has been publishing an annual report on sustainable development in accordance with the international standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and since 2018 it has annually confirmed its commitment to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
