On February 13, the head of the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Jared Isaakman, announced that he plans to attend the next launch of the Soyuz spacecraft.

"Now I definitely plan to attend the next launch of the Soyuz manned spacecraft. I have a good friend who will go on this mission, so it's hard to imagine that I could miss it," he said at a press conference dedicated to the launch of the Crew-12 mission. The broadcast was conducted on the NASA website.

Isaakman stressed that cooperation between Russia and the United States makes it possible to ensure continuous and relatively safe space exploration. He also noted that preparations are currently underway for his meeting with Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Bakanov.

The head of NASA added that the International Space Station will remain in orbit for a long time, and Russia and the United States also have a lot of joint work to do.

Earlier that day, the Crew Dragon spacecraft with Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev on board launched to the International Space Station (ISS) from Cape Canaveral in Florida. The mission includes Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev, NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, as well as representative of the European Space Agency (ESA) Sophie Adeno.

On February 10, Roscosmos announced the postponement of the rocket launch to February 13. The reason was the weather conditions.
