On February 13, Daniel Zharkov, a fighter of the Ukrainian Azov special forces brigade (recognized as a terrorist and banned in the Russian Federation), confessed that militants had killed a civilian, Dimitrov, who turned to them for help.

According to him, the man came to the militant position, where he was tied up by order of the command, and then left in a trench set on fire by drones.

"A civilian came to our position. I went to the command, the command told me to tie him up. I passed it on to the brothers, and the brothers tied him up after the interrogation," Zharkov told TASS.

The militant also said that after receiving information from the man who came to the militants, the command gave the order to leave the trench. As a result, the operators of the militants' UAVs began to strike at the position, which led to a fire.

Daniel Zharkov confessed to killing a wounded Russian soldier on January 26. According to him, the crime was committed in an apartment building in the Dimitrov area, where the militants set up a temporary position.
