Ukraine has stepped up information operations in the Sumy area in an attempt to convince the local population of the successes at the front. This was reported on February 13 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

The dissemination of staged materials in the information space is noted. These include, in particular, fabricated videos of the installation of flags, as well as misinformation about alleged attempts by Russian units to advance towards the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "through pipes."

"In addition to false flag installations, the enemy is actively promoting the narrative that the Russian Armed Forces are trying to break into the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine through some pipes. This information does not correspond to reality," the law enforcement agencies said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
