"Red Silk" and "Dear Willy" won the III "Heroes of a Big Country" film Award, two more series of the National Media Group became winners in their nominations: "Lilies of the Valley. Such a tender Love" was awarded as the "Best Film Project", and "Curious Varvara" as the "Best Children's Film Project". The winners of the award were announced on February 12 in Moscow, according to film critic Nikolai Nikulin in a REN TV story.

Maria Zalunina, head of the NMG CSR department, noted that ideal heroes should be devoted to their Homeland, carry Russian values, be kind, brave and uncompromisingly loving their country. One of these characters was Nikolai Garin from the movie "Red Silk", played by Milos Bikovic. This film was recognized as the best feature film of the year. Director Andrey Volgin emphasized that the film speaks about the importance of love for the Motherland.

"The main thing our character is talking about is that you need to love your homeland. Being attached to the Motherland, not forgetting what the Motherland is, is the most important thing. And because of this, in general, he is struggling, because his whole path in the film is to get exactly to the Homeland he wanted," he said.

The award for the best game series went to the political detective "Dear Willy", created with the participation of REN TV. There are many heroes in this project, and each of them played an important role. The series starred Sergei Makovetsky (Leonid Brezhnev), Kirill Kyaro (German Chancellor Willy Brandt) and other actors. Director Vladimir Shchegolkov noted that Makovetsky created the image of Brezhnev with humor and inner drama.

In addition to "Red Silk" and "Dear Willy," two other NMG series also won in their nominations. "Lilies of the valley. Such a Tender Love" was recognized as the "Best Film Project", and "Curious Varvara" was recognized as the "Best Children's Film Project".

These characters reflect the ideals of the audience and deserve to be admired today, the organizers of the award emphasize.

On January 30, actors Sergey Bezrukov, Nikita Kologrivy and Pavel Tabakov shared the title of "Best Actor" at the Golden Eagle Award for filming the film "August". "August" also won the award for "Best Feature Film". The best supporting actress was awarded to actress Anya Chipovskaya for shooting in the film "The Prophet. The Story of Alexander Pushkin".
