Peskov announced the indispensable return of foreign brands to Russia

Foreign brands will eventually return to Russia and the politicized pressure on business will fade away. This was announced on February 13 by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia.

"Politicized pressure on business, to the detriment of the interests of this business, will, of course, move aside. And companies will hurry to return here," TASS quoted him as saying.

Izvestia, having reviewed the data from Rospatent's electronic database, reported on February 10 that the McDonald's fast food restaurant chain, which left the Russian Federation in 2022, had registered a trademark of the same name in Russia. The application for registration was filed in December 2024, and in 2026 Rospatent decided to register the trademark.
