- The Russian Embassy in Denmark has promised Moscow's reaction to the Arctic Sentry mission.
Moscow will take appropriate measures in response to the NATO Operation Arctic Sentry. This was announced on February 12 by the Russian Embassy in Denmark.
"Our military-technical response [to the operation] will be commensurate with the decisions taken by NATO," the diplomatic mission said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
They noted that the alliance members have yet to agree on a list of specific activities within the framework of Operation Arctic Sentry, as well as ensure the allocation of the military resources required for their implementation, under the auspices of the NATO Strategic Command in Norfolk.
On the eve of the Reuters news agency reported that NATO has launched the Arctic Sentry mission to expand its military presence in the Arctic. It will coordinate the military presence of the alliance's forces in the region.
Later it became known that NATO plans to deploy tens of thousands of military personnel for exercises as part of Operation Arctic Sentry. Arctic Sentry will be led by the Joint Forces Command in Norfolk (JFC Norfolk). The exercises began in Europe on the same day.
