The documentary and journalistic cycle by St. Petersburg journalist Alexei Bagin will tell about the serious serial crimes that occurred in the Northern capital from the early 1990s to the present day. The premiere is scheduled for February 13 at 8.30 pm on the 78 TV channel.

"Petersburg Maniacs" is a journalistic investigation of a series of high-profile murders and little-known attacks on citizens, a television crime anthology in the non-fiction format. The goal of the project is not to shock the viewer, but to analyze tragic cases in detail, to give an opportunity to understand by someone else's example how to protect yourself and your loved ones from violence, not to become a victim of aggression. Each story is someone's fate, biography, and personal drama.

"Immersion in case files, meetings with relatives of St. Petersburg residents who have lost loved ones, do not leave anyone indifferent," comments Alexey Bagin. — All this required special perseverance. It is also important that our project is a message to all intruders: no matter how complicated the crime is, it will definitely be solved — punishment is inevitable."

In the first issues, viewers of "78th" will see reconstructions of high-profile cases: from the sensational story of the maniac Shuvalov, who preyed on teenage girls in the subway, to the creepy episodes of an old ripper dismembering her victims.

The premiere episode of "Petersburg Maniacs" will air on February 13 at 8.30 pm. You can watch the program every Friday at the same time, with repeats on Sundays at 16.30 and on Mondays at 23.00 on the 78 TV channel, as well as in streaming on the website 78.ru and other platforms.
