The Avatr 07 crossover, the brand's first hybrid model, is scheduled to be unveiled in Russia in the summer. A representative of the company told Izvestia about this on February 12.

"This model is currently being certified. It is planned to complete the year with three models in the Avatr line," said a representative of the brand.

Avatr is also developing a flagship SUV, its length exceeds 5 m. The company is exploring the prospects for the appearance of this model in Russia, but this will happen no earlier than 2027.

The Avatr 07 mid-size crossover was introduced in China last fall. This is the brand's first five-door model. The dimensions of the machine are 4825×1980×1620 mm. The wheelbase is 2940 mm.

In the domestic market, the Avatr 07 crossover is offered in four versions, two of which are hybrid. The 1.5 petrol turbo engine (156 hp) only charges the battery. Hybrids can be single-engine (314 hp, 367 Nm) or twin-engine (492 hp, 629 Nm). The maximum speed of the hybrids is 190 km/h, and acceleration to 100 km/h is 6.6 and 4.9 seconds, respectively. A battery with a capacity of 39.05 kWh is enough for 220-230 km of mileage, and the total reserve of the year reaches 1050-1100 km according to the CLTC cycle. Avatr 07 is equipped with an air suspension and adaptive shock absorbers.

On January 20, the analytical agency Autostat reported that 44.8 thousand new plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) were sold in Russia in 2025, which is 9.5% more than a year earlier. According to experts, the growth in sales of hybrids was recorded against the background of a general decline in the market. At the same time, the share of hybrids in sales increased from 2.6% to 3.4%. The main growth occurred in the fourth quarter, which analysts attribute to new recycling rates.
