Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin presented city prizes to young scientists of Moscow. The mayor of the capital told about this in his channel in the messenger MAX.

The competition among young scientists of the capital has been held since 2013. Researchers working in both technical, natural science, and humanitarian fields can apply for the award. Prizes are also awarded for the creation and implementation of innovations in the economy and social sphere of the city. This year, applicants submitted 1,404 applications for the prestigious award. In total, 77 young scientists were awarded the prize. Among them is Igor Bobrovsky from the National Research University MIET, who developed technologies and equipment for finishing mechanical processing of machine parts, Maria Deryabina created robotic measuring complexes for monitoring radiation levels at nuclear power plants, and Polina Alekseeva and Kanamat Efendiev created an innovative method for monitoring the effectiveness of treatment of patients with tumors, which is now successfully used in University Clinical Hospital No. 1 of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.

"Thank you to each laureate for their talent, dedication and enthusiasm! I am sure your discoveries will find application in our city," wrote the mayor of Moscow.
