"According to preliminary information, today in the lobby of one of the technical schools in Anapa, a student of this educational institution opened fire with an unidentified weapon. Later, Tatyana Pushkarskaya, deputy head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Krasnodar Territory, said that one person had died and two were injured.

"Police officers and other law enforcement agencies are working at the scene. The circumstances of the incident and the motives of the detainee's actions are being clarified," she said.

The information about the deceased was also confirmed by the governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Veniamin Kondratiev, in his Telegram channel. He clarified that he was talking about a security guard at an educational institution.

"At the moment, there is one victim, a security guard who was the first to take the blow, he reacted quickly and called law enforcement agencies. He did not allow the attacker to enter the college any further. I express my deep condolences to the family and friends of the deceased," he wrote.

He added that two people were moderately injured, the exact number of victims is being clarified. According to Veniamin Kondratiev, ambulance crews are currently on duty at the scene, and all medical institutions in Anapa are ready to receive victims. If necessary, they will be taken to regional medical institutions.

"This is a monstrous crime, I am grateful to the law enforcement agencies, the staff of the Russian Guard, who reacted promptly and did not allow large casualties," the governor wrote.

Due to the incident, traffic was also temporarily blocked on the streets adjacent to the college.

"Due to the incident and the work of law enforcement officers, traffic along Promyshlennaya Street in the area from Lenin Street to Astrakhan Street is temporarily blocked. Automobile traffic along the adjacent Lenin and Krylov streets is difficult," the OMVD said in a statement.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Krasnodar Territory announced in its Telegram channel that a check had been organized on the incident. The Anapa interdistrict prosecutor is on site, coordinating the work of the special services.
