The State Duma called for taking housing and communal services tariffs under special control

All State Duma deputies advocate the introduction of special control over tariffs for housing and communal services. This was announced on February 11 by Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.

"The position of all deputies of the State Duma is that tariffs should be placed under special control," Volodin said.

He recalled that the State Duma had previously adopted in the first reading a bill to expand the powers of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) in terms of tariff regulation.

According to Volodin, regional energy commissions often make decisions on tariff increases unreasonably.
