The leaders of the European Union (EU) member states need to stop "whining and complaining" and instead start acting and making decisions. This was announced on February 11 by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna.

"To us (European leaders. We just need to stick together and make decisions instead of whining and complaining," he said in an interview with Politico newspaper.

The head of the Estonian Foreign Ministry clarified that the EU allegedly has a lot of leverage. He clarified that only by demonstrating its strength will Europe be able to truly take a firm stand.

The article emphasizes that currently all states are at the stage of preparing for serious conflicts that are expected within the union. It is noted that the participating states, whose differences continue to be "exposed," are arguing about joint defense projects and economic reforms, while at the same time trying to weaken their dependence on the United States.

The day before, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico called the EU a "flock of sheep without a shepherd." He pointed out that the alliance lacks a political leader, which forces major powers to conduct bilateral negotiations with member countries rather than with representatives of the alliance.

At the same time, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called Western politicians extremely illiterate and politically biased. According to her, while in power, they act not out of the interests of their people, but out of fear of losing additional sources of funding from the alliances and associations they belong to. Speaking about the EU's attempt to promote its interests in the world in two ways at once: sanctions and allegedly "friendly intentions," she called European leaders "not wolves, but sheep" in sheep's clothing for a long time.
