Russia monitors and comments on the signals coming from the Western camp, primarily from Europe. This was announced on February 11 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, speaking at the government hour in the State Duma.

"Of course, we are monitoring and commenting on the signals that are being given to us from the Western camp, primarily from Europe, especially after the Trump administration recognized that international problems cannot be solved without Russia. Europe has woken up and is trying to send signals," he said.

The Russian Foreign Minister also said that after the actions of the Trump administration, it became clear that international problems could not be solved without Russia. According to him, Europe is sending signals, including through the leaders of France and Finland— Macron and Stubb.

Sergey Lavrov called the statements of the Finnish president "empty talk" and a sign of narcissism, noting that attempts to show himself as a strong politician for voters and colleagues have no practical significance. The minister stressed that Europe has completely discredited itself in the eyes of Russia, and many Western institutions have lost their influence.

He also added that President Vladimir Putin never refuses to engage in dialogue with anyone and is ready to discuss issues with any countries if there are specific proposals.

On February 10, Lavrov expressed hope for Europe's non-interference in the movement of the Russian Federation and the United States towards peace. He called the process initiated by the Russian and American sides difficult and very necessary.
