- The head of the Investigative Committee opened a case against a retired judge from Komi for fraud
A criminal case has been opened against retired Ukhta City Court judge Galina Naidina on charges of fraud in receiving payments. This was reported in the press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation.
"(Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander. Bastrykin, with the consent of the Higher Qualification Board of Judges of the Russian Federation, initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 4 of Article 159.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud in receiving payments") against a judge of the Ukhta City Court," the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation said on its VKontakte page.
According to the investigation, Naidina, who moved from Ukhta to the Tver region, did not notify this in accordance with the established procedure, which led to the continuation of receiving compensation payments for work in the Far North, although the right to such compensation was lost. As a result, from February 2014 to September 2019, she illegally received more than 7 million rubles.
Investigative actions are currently underway to clarify all the circumstances of the crime and collect evidence.
On February 9, the Investigative Committee announced the initiation of a criminal case by Bastrykin against the retired Justice of the peace of the judicial district No. 7 of the Nalchik judicial district from the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Mukhamed Tembotov, on bribery. It was noted that the investigation of this case is still ongoing.
