The State Duma spoke about the new powers of emergency doctors

Paramedics, according to the new professional standard, will be able to provide the necessary assistance outside the medical organization in cases of emergency. This was announced on Wednesday, February 11, by the head of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection, Sergei Leonov.

According to him, the new standard, approved by the Russian Ministry of Labor, also includes several labor actions for the corresponding function.

"The document contains the necessary knowledge and skills: for example, a doctor must know the criteria of an emergency, the scheme, the algorithm for collecting and transmitting information about an emergency, the regulations on the All—Russian Disaster Medicine Service, and be able to conduct medical triage of patients," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Leonov added that the doctor should also explain the choice of a specific medical organization for the evacuation of the patient.
