France plans to transfer two more Mirage 2000 fighter jets from the reserves of its armed forces to Ukraine. This was reported on February 10 by the French newspaper Journal du Dimanche (JDD).

According to the publication, the issue was discussed during the visit of French Defense Minister Catherine Vautrin to Kiev, where she met with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky and Ukrainian Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov. After the talks, Fedorov said, without specifying the number of vehicles, that Paris was preparing a new aircraft delivery, which would take place within six months.

"After sending three aircraft in 2025, Paris is preparing to supply Ukraine with two more Mirage 2000 fighters <...> from the reserves of the French Armed Forces," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, the deliveries are carried out within the framework of the agreement between Paris and Kiev, which French President Emmanuel Macron announced in 2024. At that time, the French leader also announced plans to train Ukrainian pilots. In February 2025, former French Defense Minister Sebastian Lecorny announced the arrival of the first Mirage 2000 in Ukraine, without naming their exact number.

Earlier that day, it became known that the Canadian authorities did not dispose of the remaining Browning Hi-Power pistols from the Second World War, as they are considering the possibility of transferring them to Ukraine. It is noted that in 2022, the Canadian authorities decided to dispose of almost 11 thousand obsolete pistols that were in storage. However, two years later, it was decided to keep about 10,5 thousand weapons with a possible subsequent shipment to Ukraine.
